Determining nail consistency by quantification of type I keratins

چکیده
Nail consistency is a little studied characteristic of the nail plate. Numerous factors can influence its determination, including anatomy apparatus, structure plate, and type quantity keratins present. To study relationship between expression level I keratins, sample was chosen 32 individuals in same age group (49.94 ± 3.38 years), 18 with hard nails 14 soft nails, number for each gender. Two buffers different concentrations reducing agent (50mM 200mM) two antibodies to various were analyzed by immunoblotting. The mean extracted protein concentration at 50mM significantly higher than 200mM (p-value<0.001). obtained AE13 antibody did not vary gender or (p-values≥0.942). With cytokeratin 17 (CTK17), no differences found (p-value=0.341). However, significant established hard-consistency soft-consistency (p-values≤0.007) concentrations, (p-value=0.001). Hard-consistency had K17. Adding elemental analysis layers flexural behavior plate reported previous studies, this work demonstrates that also depends

Expression of unusually large keratins during terminal differentiation: balance of type I and type II keratins is not disrupted
When a basal epidermal cell undergoes a commitment to terminally differentiate, it ceases to divide and begins to migrate outward towards the surface of the skin. Dramatic changes in its cytoskeletal architecture take place, accompanied by numerous changes in the expression of keratins, a family of related polypeptides that form 8-nm filaments in these cells. We show here that a shift to the sy...

Determining Consistency of Topological RelationsBRANDON
This paper examines the problem of testing consistency of sets of topological relations which are instances of the RCC-8 relation set (Randell, Cui and Cohn 1992). Representations of these relations as constraints within a number of logical frameworks are considered. It is shown that, if the arguments of the relations are interpreted as non-empty open sets within an arbitrary topological space,...
متن کاملPachyonychia congenita type I presenting with subtle nail changes.
Pachyonychia congenita type I is an autosomal dominant disorder where nail abnormalities are a constant feature and develop during childhood. We report here a family with pachyonychia congenita type I and very mild nail changes to underline that this diagnosis should be considered even in the absence of severe nail thickening.
متن کاملIn vitro assembly properties of human type I and II hair keratins.
Multiple type I and II hair keratins are expressed in hair-forming cells but the role of each protein in hair fiber formation remains obscure. In this study, recombinant proteins of human type I hair keratins (K35, K36 and K38) and type II hair keratins (K81 and K85) were prepared using bacterial expression systems. The heterotypic subunit interactions between the type I and II hair keratins we...
